a number of culinary traditions

About Gotham Walking Tours & Lina Viviano

Lina Viviano, the founder of Gotham Walking Tours, is a highly-acclaimed and licensed New York City tour guide and licensed New York City Real Estate Broker who holds advanced degrees in American Politics and in Law from Harvard University and New York University School of Law.

She has received a "star" of distinction from the
New York City Department of Consumer Affairs for achieving an outstanding score on the Department's Professional Licensing Examination for NYC Sightseeing Guides.

Lina is a native New Yorker whose professional endeavors have included teaching American politics and history as a Fellow at Harvard University, working with New York State and federal legislative bodies, and practicing trial law in New York City.

Lina is also a licensed Real Estate Broker
practicing in New York City.

She has spent over twenty years reading, researching
and writing about what she loves best – the neighborhoods of Manhattan and Brooklyn - and is close to completing her first novel, a work of historical fiction, about (you guessed it), New York City at the turn of the 19th Century.
